Introduction to the Program
《Sa Ugoy ng Duyan》
This is a Filipino lullaby written by two Filipino musicians, Levi Celerio and Lucio San Pedro Sr., when they met in Honolulu and returned to Manila by boat in 1948. The song tells of an adult's longing for childhood, especially when reminiscing about a mother's care. They were also posthumously conferred the title of "National Artist".
